Key Responsibilities of Export Documentation Officer
As part of your core duties, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing, reviewing, and verifying all essential export documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and any special shipping instructions.
- Ensuring full compliance with international export regulations and internal quality protocols.
- Coordinating closely with the production, warehousing, and dispatch teams to guarantee timely movement of goods.
- Communicating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics providers for shipment scheduling and smooth customs clearance.
- Tracking shipments and keeping customers and relevant departments informed of their status in real time.
- Maintaining up-to-date, accurate documentation records for internal auditing and external inspections.
- Handling any discrepancies or export-related issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Supporting compliance efforts with importing countries and customer-specific requirements.
- Assisting during export audits by compiling and presenting required documentation promptly.
Required Skills and Competencies
